What We Do

Satelytics is a software company that uses artificial intelligence to analyze satellite imagery to keep a vigilant watch over client assets, alerting them to conditions outside their operating integrity window. Pressing client challenges could include: liquid leaks, encroachment, land movement, methane emissions, chemical contamination, risk-inducing changes due to wildfires, notification of where tree strikes could cause power outages, and several other (40+) challenges.

Early detection and alerts with specific information about location and severity help minimize risk, avoid escalating costs, reduce impacts on the environment, and lessen the toll of public exposure. Satelytics notifies its clients when an incident occurs, providing the location of the incident and the scale of the issue.

Summary of the Role

The successful applicant will sell multiple Satelytics solutions and report to the Business Development Director, working to an annual sales quota. The role will sell multiple solutions to multiple departments within multiple target companies, across multiple regions and operating areas. Satelytics’ primary market segments currently include: Power Utilities, Oil & Gas, Pipeline Operators, Water/Wastewater, Mining, Forestry, and Specialty Chemicals. Satelytics offers Software-as-a-Service.

Job Duties

Working with a specific list of target organizations (potentially including a small number of existing clients), the successful applicant will develop relationships with multiple key stakeholders who can influence their company to use Satelytics across the broadest range of our solutions.

The successful applicant will research each target organization, identify multiple contacts, and use proven sales techniques to develop strategic relationships across each organization.

This role will be responsible for developing sales leads, conversion of leads to opportunities, and closing sufficient opportunities to meet or exceed the prescribed sales quota. The successful applicant will retain responsibility for account development (revenue retention and growth). Additionally, he or she will be expected to maintain accurate records of accounts, contacts, and opportunities in our CRM.

This role will be supported by the Business Development Director, Marketing staff, Professional Services staff, sales staff, and our experienced Management Team. We provide full and comprehensive training on our solutions, sales approach, and messaging. We expect the successful applicant to possess a high level of sales experience, ideally having received formal sales training, but with the desire to continuously improve.

Requirements

We require a minimum of 5 years of professional B2B selling experience, ideally selling into our target markets. This role is suited to an experienced salesperson who possesses the capability to develop sales revenue from target organizations and the ability to increase revenue per client over time.

We will select a candidate with the ability to demonstrate a successful and stable track record in sales, with experience of personally closing deals with a value of at least $100K and, ideally, with a track record of closing deals in excess of $1M.

The responsibilities of the role will include the ability to demonstrate our software and to have business / technical discussions with multiple stakeholders across multiple business areas, across multiple business types. We expect the successful applicant to be experienced in working with departmental and management-level contacts. It is also expected that the applicant will have appropriate experience in managing personal activity levels to the appropriate volume to meet your sales quota. This role must professionally and ethically represent Satelytics to prospects, clients, and other interested parties.
