Core Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM ET (on-site)
Job Duties
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement new geospatial algorithms and workflows, with a focus on remote sensing applications.
- Analyze and interpret various types of geospatial data, including satellite imagery, LiDAR, and vector data.
- Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to extract insights from geospatial datasets.
- Collaborate with the Professional Services team to define project objectives and train team members.
- Work with the Technical team to integrate algorithms and processes into our cloud platform.
- Provide expert guidance and support for company-wide geospatial and remote sensing initiatives.
- Participate in client meetings as a technical expert.
- Analyze and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to optimize workflows and deliverables.
- Lead/Collaborate on research initiatives in specialized geospatial applications.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, Data Science, Remote Sensing, Geography, Geology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in geospatial data analysis and remote sensing applications.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
- Proficiency in GIS software and spatial analysis techniques.
- Experience with image processing and analysis of satellite imagery.
- Familiarity with machine learning applications in geospatial contexts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud computing platforms.
- Experience with multiple satellite platforms (e.g., Sentinel-2, Landsat, WorldView).
- Knowledge of various imagery types (multispectral, hyperspectral, SAR).
- Experience with remote sensing software (e.g., ENVI, ERDAS IMAGINE).
- Proficiency in data visualization and cartography.
- Publication record or conference presentations in related fields
