Satelytics is proud to announce Jay Almlie as Director of Marketing!
Mr. Almlie is joining our family in Toledo Ohio as Director of Marketing. Jay is a highly respected professional with advanced degrees in mechanical engineering and project management. He has had an extensive career working in technical research, systems design, supervision of personnel, project management, and marketing.
Jay is joining us from The Energy & Environmental Research Center in Grand Forks North Dakota, where he worked on projects ranging from emissions controls to hydrogen generation and radioactive materials disposal. The last ten years have seen Jay pivot his career into oil and gas research and become a respected voice for both industry and state regulators on everything Bakken. When ND Governor Doug Burgum called producers and midstream industry to get to zero spills, Jay was chosen to build and lead the iPIPE consortium. Satelytics has provided liquid hydrocarbon and produced water leak detection for iPIPE members the last three years! This same set of aerial data also provides facilities and pipeline right of way encroachments for the member’s infrastructure.

Previously, Mr. Almlie worked for Lockheed Martin at Johnson Space Center serving projects for the International Space Station including radiation and thermal control, and water systems.
Satelytics CEO Sean Donegan commented on this exciting news, “Jay brings a level of enthusiasm and experience that will benefit our science and software teams. Through his iPIPE experience and industry relationships he understands client need and will continue building Satelytics’ customer centric focus. Jay will drive current solutions in our existing markets, while looking for additional challenge areas where our unique brand of science and software can be applied.”
Jay will be responsible for Satelytics messaging content, social media, brand and relationship building. Mr. Donegan continues, “You always strive as a business leader to surround yourself with really smart and talented team members, who will push excellence. We hit the jackpot with Jay and his super family joining ours.”
Jay and his wife Erin, a college professor, will be relocating to the Toledo area soon and are excited to be part of the incredible growth being realized by Satelytics. Outside of work Jay and Erin enjoy camping and travelling to the beach as well as visiting their college age children who are continuing in their parent’s tradition of educational excellence.
